The short film is about the town of Backwater which is cursed by regular visits from The Undertaker and one day, the town decides to help death along. Boy in the Dark (Short Film)

This small story has horror, drama, and elements of a psychological thriller. Boy In The Dark is about a boy who makes an unspoken deal with the monsters he sees in the dark to find the courage to stand up for himself in the light of day. The short film feels inspired by Guillermo Del Toro’s films and Stephen King’s stories.

Doug Jones is known for playing famous monsters like The Amphibian Man in Shape of Water and Fauno in Pan’s Labyrinth. Before Doug Jones became the monster of Hollywood, he starred in Universal Dead. Universal Dead is a web series about a zombie apocalypse that has all but destroyed civilization when a lone scientist at a remote outpost discovers the cause of the outbreak.
