Blazing trails across creative mediums, Tracey S. Yang wears many hats as an entrepreneur, published author, and influential Christian thinker. She now brings her multifaceted background to her latest endeavor – producing “Undying Faith,” an inspiring new series that explores the persecution of Christianity.

1. In your own words, can you describe the story of Undying Faith?
Undying Faith immerses viewers in the lives of two girls, Lydia Johnson and Joanna Williams, as they live life in a hostile world that restricts freedoms. Their faith is tested when outside forces invade America and outlaw Christianity. Now on the run for their lives, Lydia and Joanna must navigate dangerous territory and persecution.
2. Why did you feel that this story needed to be told?
I believe that this is an excellent story that needs to be told as it highlights Christian persecution that occurs around the globe. Through storytelling, Undying Faith answers questions and truths a viewer may hold in regards to life’s challenges.

3. I read that Undying Faith was a TV pilot. Did you have a vision for the rest of the episodes in the season?
Yes. Future episodes for Undying Faith are centered around Christian persecution and continue to follow Lydia and Joanna through season one. At the start of episode two, viewers continue to follow Lydia and Joanna on this journey until they meet new characters such as Elijah, Chuck, Mary, and Tha.
Kyo Production, the production company behind Undying Faith, cast Brigdon York as Elijah last fall in 2023. Kyo Production has also cast Elijah’s parents, Christina Gregg as Tracy Hamilton and Joseph Scott as Jonathan Hamilton for season one of Undying Faith. As of now, we have 4 more episodes that are planning to be filmed for season one.
4. What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome during production?
Our biggest challenge for production during episode one was COVID-19 since this episode was filmed mainly in 2020 and some in 2021. This caused production to come to a halt for several months. However, our team persevered and successfully finished filming the episode in 2021.
5. What films or TV shows have inspired your filmmaking style?
I was mainly the producer for episode one for Undying Faith. However, I am inspired by other Christian films such as the Kendrick Brothers’ movies such as Facing the Giants and Flywheel.
6. What advice would you give to an aspiring director interested in pursuing faith-based filmmaking?
I would advise inspiring directors to be humble. Be kind. Be willing to listen and receive feedback from others in order to achieve the best product possible, and hire a good crew.
