Early Life and Childhood

Ryan Paevey was born in Torrance, California, on September 24, 1984. He spent most of his childhood enjoying the outdoors, going camping, rock climbing, fishing, and hiking. On top of being an outdoorsman, Ryan is a self-proclaimed nerd who loves tech and video games.

Ryan kept his love for the outdoors alive during high school and later decided to pursue a career in construction alongside his father after graduating. To make some extra money, Ryan started accepting modeling gigs which led to minor roles in music videos for Toni Braxton’s “Hands Tied” and Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body”. He then transitioned from male model to actor.

Transitioning into Acting

Ryan began his acting career with bit parts in TV shows and movies. In 2013, he landed his breakout role on General Hospital as Nathan West, and he quickly became a fan favorite. His good looks, charismatic personality, and acting skills made him the perfect addition to the show. Ryan stayed on General Hospital for 5 years in more than 280 episodes.

Why Ryan Paevey Left General Hospital

In 2018, Ryan decided to leave General Hospital to pursue other opportunities. “I was ready to go, and I think GH knew that”. It was an amicable situation and his character, Nathan West, was written out of the show. Fans were sad to see him go, but they knew that Ryan was going on to bigger things. The biggest thing that came out of Ryan’s departure was his move to The Hallmark Channel.

Ryan Paevey in Hallmark Movies

During Ryan’s time at General Hospital, he joined the ranks of Hallmark’s leading men. He made his debut on Hallmark in the starring role of Unleashing Mr. Darcy in 2016. From then on Ryan quickly became one of Hallmark’s most beloved actors.

Ryan’s Hallmark movies are full of heartwarming romance with him as the male lead of many films. In “Harvest Love,” he plays a down-to-earth farmer looking for love. In “Coyote Creek Christmas,” he plays the charming Dylan who helps the main character find Christmas magic. Ryan has been a leading actor in more than 12 Hallmark movies spanning over 6 years.

Fortunate Wanderer Jewelry Created By Ryan Paevey

Aside from his acting, Ryan is an entrepreneur and jewelry designer. He launched his brand, Fortunate Wanderer, in 2017, and it quickly became a hit. Ryan, a former construction worker with an eye for craftsmanship, had long enjoyed making jewelry pieces like bracelets in his spare time. When photos of him wearing bracelets started circulating online, fans began to ask about how to purchase their own versions – thus how Fortunate Wanderer came into existence.

Now, Fortunate Wanderer has expanded into a number of adventure-inspired items. Ryan has built a brand for other Wanderers of the world, offering everything a wanderer should have for their adventures – inspiration, gear, and trappings that become trimmings.
